The Happiness Bar, a standard offering at WordCamps all over the world, is a super laid back place to ask any WordPress questions you may have. But even if you’re more advanced, there’s room in the Happiness Bar for you too. It can be a great place to have your code reviewed and to give back to the community.

Staffed by volunteers (at WordCamp, what isn’t?) that are willing and interested in helping you solve the mysteries of the WordPress. The idea isn’t that the volunteers have all the answers or will do the work for you but that they can point you in the right direction.

Many WordCamp regulars find they spend as much time in the Happiness Bar as they spend listening to presentations. And the reason is simple, the Happiness Bar is a place to interact in an environment free from internet trolls.

Because the Happiness “Bartenders” are there to spread happiness, don’t be shocked if you ask a question and hear: “I don’t know, but I know someone that does.” Many times they can introduce you to someone at camp that is an expert in the subject matter.

Many speakers will head for the happiness bar after their presentation, so if you want to further explore one of their ideas or have really specific questions, sit down with them and ask.

Whether you have a question you need answered, code that needs to be reviewed or just want to get some work done, this is the place to be. Come and ask questions, answer questions and meet new friends. If it’s a WordPress question, you can ask it at the Happiness Bar at #WCDelhi !

A Note: Not all problems can be solved quickly and easily. Although the Happiness Bar is a place to get you going in the right direction, you might need to continue the conversation after WordCamp Delhi. And, not to disappoint you, but that might cost money. Volunteers will do their best to help you as much as possible during the weekend, but sometimes, you just need a professional.

This historic speech marked India’s independence from British rule and simultaneously made the Red Fort in Delhi a politically significant monument, which now acts as the setting for the Independence Day celebrations each year. However, the Red Fort has been a strategically important monument through the ages, due to Delhi being the capital city for a good part of the Mughal rule in India. It’s beautiful architecture and the historical significance that it carries attracts many visitors across globe.

The above importance forced us to keep #WCDelhi logo around Red Fort.

Wapuus are the official mascots of WordCamps across the world since 2011. Wapuus have been used by communities to showcase the event theme and local culture to the attendees. We need your help in designing the mascot for WC Delhi.

Wapuu Comes to Delhi

Wapuu has become an important part of the WordCamp experience and somewhat a collector item. This is your chance to contribute to one of the cutest aspects of WordCamp Delhi 2017 and win an amazing reward pack!

Some History Behind Wapuu

Wapuu has been used by local communities as a showcase of the local culture and the inspirations behind the WordCamp they are organizing. Kazuko Kaneuchi originally created the first Wapuu in 2011 for WordPress Japan and ever since Wapuu has been used by WordCamps across the world. Just like WordPress, Wapuu is an open-source character letting anyone who wants to remix and high-resolution it the way they want. Where will we be using Wapuu

We need your ideas on how we can creatively use your design. Want to create a life-size Wapuu? Or want to make a Wapuu booth? Go Ahead – send us a mockup! We are also working to finalize on which merchandise are we going print Wapuu on.

Wapuu design guidelines aren’t very strict but eyes, nose, and mouth that are distinctive areas in Wapuus. Please ensure your design follows these general design guidelines.

Contest Rules:

Follow general Wapuu design guidelines. Share your Wapuu in our facebook group and/or tweet it out to us on Twitter with #WCDelhi
The contest is not restricted to Delhi residents. Anybody from any part of India or any other country can participate.

The last date of entry is 26th July 2017 .
Winner entry will be notified by Email.
Winner would be required to share original source AI/PSD/CDR files of the design (and along you might be required to tweak the design if needed for our print needs)
The design(s) will be published under GNU General Public License v2 or later. It’s same as WordPress software.
Please do not use any copyrighted content in your design(s)
