She’s a computer engineer turned professional photographer who started blogging in 2003 when hardly anyone understood the word. She founded a group of bloggers in Delhi in Jan 2004, which was perhaps the first such organised group in India.
She organized many blogger meets & events over the years. She’s organized India’s first Social media Camp in 2008 & India’s first WordPress camp in Feb 2009. It was attended by Matt Mullenweg & Om Malik. She’s been featured on the cover of Outlook India for her social media success. Last but not the least, She is an active user of WordPress and uses the same to host and maintain 4 of her websites.
Tulika Kiran
Tulika is a digital marketing trainer and consultant. A firm believer in the open source initiative, her website Freelancing Wiz has been built on WordPress and strives to provide a platform for all freelancers to connect, share and learn from each other’s journey. She ditched the 9-5 routine five years back, followed her passion and hopes to help others create a similar niche for themselves in the online community.
Tseten Dolkar
Tseten Dolkar is a Tibetan born and brought in India as a stateless person. She was educated in a Tibetan school under the Tibetan-government-in-exile (TGiE) and went on to pursue her further studies in Chandigarh where she got a diploma in Web designing and programming. After the completion of her education, like many other young Tibetans in India, she went to Dharamshala, the place that hosts major Tibetan NGOs in the exile community and the Tibetan-government-in-exile.
The place is also known as the capital city of Tibetans in the diaspora. After working for some time in the community and developing understanding about needs of Tibetans of web-developers, Tseten founded “Tibetan I Tech”, a web development firm based in Dharamsala, HP, which is a unique and first of its kind in the Tibetan diaspora.
It offers a wide range of services in an attempt to provide opportunities for every Tibetan business to be heard and to enhance their presence in the mainstream market.
She was first exposed to WordPress in the beginning of the year 2012 when she met James, an American who teaches people who are interested in learning web development.
Since then she has developed more than 30 websites using WordPress for diverse clients, from promoting businesses and events to advocating social and political issues. She is a great enthusiast of all the WordPress contributors and truly believes in the power of open sources.
