Rahul is the founder and CEO of rtCamp – only\u00a0WordPress.com<\/a>\u00a0VIP Partner from Asia.<\/p>\n

His WordPress journey began in 2007 when he was looking for ways to customize his blog. Later on, he moved from professional blogging to freelancing, and from freelancing to starting rtCamp in 2009.<\/p>\n

At work, Rahul plays multiple roles, switching between sysadmin (his favorite), to sales and everything else company demands from him.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Rahul has contributed to the WordPress community in different ways as a WordCamp speaker, organizer, volunteer, polyglot, theme\/plugins developer.<\/p>\n

Outside of WordPress, he loves spending time with his son and is a self-proclaimed foodie.<\/p>\n

What’s the topic about which he is going to spread his informative words<\/h2>\n

As mentioned in the heading of this post, the topic of Rahul’s talk is “Selling WordPress to Enterprises”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His WordPress journey started with small projects, with total budgets under $100.<\/p>\n

Nine years later, he has grown to reach the other end of the spectrum, regularly handling Enterprise WordPress projects with budgets of over $100K per year.<\/p>\n

At this scale, the rules for \u201cselling\u201d WordPress to a client change. WordPress\u2019 traditional advantages don\u2019t necessarily apply anymore.<\/p>\n

He will start by addressing the two largest apprehensions that enterprises have- security & scalability- and cover other pain points like:<\/p>\n

Integration with existing systems<\/strong>
\nOwnership and responsibility<\/strong>
\nExtensibility and long term viability<\/strong>
\n\u201cFree\u201d and \u201cGPL\u201d concerns<\/strong><\/p>\n
