Further, the talk would also explore a joyful journey beginning with the simple features of WordPress.com for a beginner. The journey can lead all the way to the possibility of a full blown WordPress.org website as its requirements and scope expand, and as its team learns more about building a website with WordPress.com.

The presence of WordPress.com allows any person with a basic internet connection to begin with a WordPress based website with zero investment. As the content and the requirement of the site grows it can be upgraded till a time the site can be moved to a self-hosted WordPress.org based website.
