Contributor Day at WordCamp Delhi 2024 is here, and it’s time to ‘give back’—Dilli style! Whether you’re a tech guru, chai-loving designer, or just love WordPress, join us for a day of fun, learning, and of course, thoda sa jugaar. Let’s come together and contribute to the platform that keeps over 40% of the web running smoothly.

Kya hai Contributor Day?

Contributor Day is where all of us—coders, writers, marketers, translators, and more—gather to contribute to WordPress. You’ll get to work with mentors, learn the ropes, and dive into teams working on everything from code to content. It’s the perfect chance to connect with fellow WordPress lovers. 

Who can join?Anyone and everyone! Nahi, seriously! You don’t have to be a pro developer to contribute. Whether you’re into writing, designing, translating, or anything else. Plus, mentors will guide you through the process, so koi tension nahi!

Team to Join

• Core Team: Work on the backbone of WordPress—code, testing, and documentation.
• Design Team: For the UI/UX ke maestros—help design new features.
• Polyglots Team: If languages are your jam, help translate WordPress.
• Support Team: Help fellow WordPress lovers with their problems (not emotional, tech only!).
• Documentation Team: Make sure WordPress.org users have everything explained seedhe tarike se.
• Photos Team: Spread the love through photos.
• Themes/Plugins Review Team: Make sure themes and plugins are ready for prime time.
• Community Team: Organize WordCamps and meetups like a pro event planner.
• Meta Team: Work on the backend websites that make WordPress.org hum along

• Create a WordPress.org account if you haven’t already.
• Check teams beforehand so you know where you want to contribute.

First time? No worries! Mentors will be around to help you pick a team, understand what to do, and answer any questions. Dilli ka jugaad works everywhere!

Do I need to attend WordCamp Delhi to join Contributor Day?
Nope! You can attend Contributor Day without attending the full WordCamp event. (But event pass is mandatory to attend contributors day, get it from here.)
