Every WordCamp is remembered for its stage. The talks that changed how someone thought. The panels that got heated in the best way. The first-time speaker who walked up nervous and walked off changed.

Today, we’re opening that stage for you.

The Call for Speakers for WordCamp Delhi 2026 is officially open.

If you have shipped a hundred sites or just published your first post, if you have contributed to core for a decade or discovered WordPress last month – the stage at DAIC on 13th December is yours to claim.

Dil se Dilli. Code se community.

Who We’re Looking For

Everyone.

That’s not a tagline – it’s the honest answer. Some of the most memorable talks at WordCamps every year come from people who had never spoken before. First-time speakers, students, freelancers, agency owners, contributors, founders, hobbyists – we want to hear from all of you.

What matters isn’t a speaking résumé. What matters is that you have one thing only you can talk about – a case study, a story, a strong opinion, a hard lesson, a way of thinking about WordPress that others haven’t heard yet.

If that sounds like you, this is your invitation.

What You Can Talk About

Our Programme Team has published a set of tentative topic directions – from sustainable WordPress businesses in the AI era, to performance and security, to citation engineering, to panels on where Indian WordPress goes next.

Pick one and put your own spin on it. Or propose something completely different. Both are welcome. The final schedule will be shaped by the ideas that come in – not by the ones we started with.

Two Session Formats

We’re accepting proposals in two formats:

  • Long Talk – 30 minutes plus 10 minutes of Q&A
  • Panel / Fireside Chat – 60 minutes of moderated conversation

Pick the one that fits your idea and your style. Full details, guidance, and the application form are on the Call for Speakers page.

What Speakers Get

  • A complimentary ticket to WordCamp Delhi 2026
  • Speaker swag and the perks that come with the badge
  • A recorded talk on WordPress.tv – yours, forever
  • Contributor credit on your WordPress.org profile for the work
  • Direct engagement with 500+ attendees across two days
  • Mentoring before the event, honest feedback after it, and a community you’ll come back to for years

When to Apply

Applications close Sunday, 25th October 2026 (11:59 PM IST).

Our Programme Team reads every single proposal. Selected speakers will be reconfirmed in early November, well before the schedule goes live – and every applicant will hear back either way.

Questions or stuck on your outline? Write to delhi@wordcamp.org, and we’ll pair you with someone who can help.

You can submit up to two proposals – one form per idea. And if you know someone with a talk in them who just needs a nudge to apply, forward this to them. Most great WordCamp speakers show up because someone else believed in their idea first.

The stage at BHIM Auditorium is waiting. Aa jao – bring us your idea.

Milte hain 13 December ko. 🎤
