Why DAIC? Why Janpath?
Every WordCamp picks its venue with care. Ours picks itself.
The Dr Ambedkar International Centre is named for the chair of the committee that drafted the Indian Constitution — one of the great open documents of the 20th century, debated in public, amended in public, and belonging to no one so it could belong to everyone. That ethos – public code, public review, public ownership – is the same ethos that powers WordPress and the GPL.
And the road outside? Janpath. Literally, the people’s path.
You couldn’t script a better setting for a community-run celebration of the open web.
Day 1 – Contributor Day (12 December)
We’re opening deliberately with Contributor Day, because the fastest way to join the WordPress community is to build something with it.
Nine tables. Nine teams. Mentors at every one:

Whether it’s your first contribution or your five-hundredth, you’ll leave with your name in a commit log, a documentation update, a translation string, or a design file that ships to millions of sites. First-time contributors are especially welcome – this is exactly the day you’ve been waiting for.
Day 2 – Conference Day (13 December)
The stage is set, the seats are ready, and BHIM Auditorium is where it all comes alive.
A full day of talks, panels, and hallway conversations – where developers, designers, founders, freelancers, and creators sit in the same room, hear the same speakers, and walk out with the same set of ideas to build on.
One stage. One community. One full day of WordPress – from the morning chai to the closing applause.
